IN RE: | SB408 by Deuell (Relating to the punishment for the offense of terroristic threat. ), As Passed 2nd House |
The bill would amend the Penal Code by enhancing the punishment for the offense of terroristic threat from a Class B misdemeanor to a Class A misdemeanor if the offense is committed against a member of the person's family or household or otherwise constitutes family violence or if the offense is committed against a public servant. It is assumed that the bill would not significantly affect the operations of state or local government.
