IN RE:	SB408 by Deuell (Relating to the punishment for the offense of terroristic threat.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Penal Code by enhancing the punishment for the offense of terroristic threat from a Class B misdemeanor to a Class A misdemeanor if the offense is committed against a member of the actor's family or household or against a public servant.  It is assumed that the bill would not significantly affect the operations of state or local government.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
