TO:
Honorable Kenneth Armbrister, Chair, Senate Committee on Natural Resources

FROM:
John Keel, Director, Legislative Budget Board

IN RE:
SB442 by Janek (Relating to the applicability of the law governing access to public beaches to coastal public works constructed by certain governmental entities.), As Introduced

No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.

A subdivision or instrumentality of the state, other than a city or county, or the federal government, would be required to partner with a city or county for certain coastal public works projects.  Quasi-governmental entities would no longer be able to directly involve themselves in such projects without establishing a formal arrangement with a city or county.
