No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

Based on the analyses of the Texas Department of Transportation and the Office of the Attorney General, it is assumed that duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished using existing resources.

 

The bill would take effect September 1, 2003, and would only apply to an offense committed on or after this date.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
