No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

There would be no fiscal impact to the Higher Education Coordinating Board.  Higher education systems providing estimates on the cost of implementation report a broad range of costs. 

Fiscal impact to each institution in each system would be a prorated share of the above costs.  Total impact to the state would not be significant. 

University of Houston System- no costs; requested data currently being captured and reported; Texas Tech University System - $50,000 each year for one additional staff;

Texas A&M University System - $75,000 each year for one staff person for 4-6 weeks for programming, plus a computer analyst for ongoing maintenance of the website; and

University of Texas System - $109,827 in the first year, and an additional $330,000-$350,000 each year thereafter for an unspecified number of employees and other operating expenses.


Local Government Impact

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
