IN RE: | SB503 by Ogden (Relating to the provision of certain higher education information to the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board and to the public.), As Introduced |
There would be no fiscal impact to the Higher Education Coordinating Board. Higher education systems providing estimates on the cost of implementation report a broad range of costs.
Fiscal impact to each institution in each system would be a prorated share of the above costs. Total impact to the state would not be significant.
University of Houston System- no costs; requested data currently being captured and reported; Texas Tech University System - $50,000 each year for one additional staff;
Texas A&M University System - $75,000 each year for one staff person for 4-6 weeks for programming, plus a computer analyst for ongoing maintenance of the website; and
University of Texas System - $109,827 in the first year, and an additional $330,000-$350,000 each year thereafter for an unspecified number of employees and other operating expenses.
