No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Health and Safety Code to require the Texas Department of Health (TDH) to develop performance measures for regional advisory councils in trauma service areas to achieve certain goals. Provisions of the bill would direct TDH to complete development of the performance measures by no later than January 1, 2004.
TDH indicated that development of the performance measures would be possible with existing staff resources.
This bill would take effect September 1, 2003.
