The bill would amend the Code of Criminal Procedure as it relates to the duties of law enforcement regarding the misuse of a person's identity and the person's right to expunction of identifying information contained in certain records and files.

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated due to the small number of anticipated cases.
