No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Occupations Code to expand the authority of advanced practice nurses and physician assistants to administer and write prescriptions for certain drugs and specified controlled substances.  Based on the analysis by the Board of Medical Examiners, the Board of Nurse Examiners, and the Texas Department of Health, the provisions of the bill would have no fiscal impact to the state.

Local Government Impact

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
