SB670 by Deuell (Relating to the creation of a county court at law in Rockwall County.), As Introduced

No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend Government Code, Chapter 25 to create a county court at law in Rockwall County. The court would be created and the bill would take effect on September 1, 2003.

Local Government Impact

The Rockwall County Auditor provided an estimate of local costs, which would include salaries and benefits for the court's judge, bailiff, court reporter and court coordinator. Annual operating costs would be approximately $145,000, which would include travel, training, and capital expenditures.

 

The total cost to Rockwall County for fiscal year 2004 and each fiscal year thereafter is estimated at $425,000.
