No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would clarify that after a general law municipality has adopted the city manager form of government, the governing body's authority to appoint and prescribe the powers and duties of a municipal officer or employee under the aldermanic or commission form of government is not limited. The bill would take effect September 1, 2003.
