SB763 by Lindsay (Relating to the application of the open meetings law and the public information law to certain meetings and information regarding plans for responding to an act of terrorism.), As Introduced

No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would except from the public information law meetings by county commissioners courts or municipal governing bodies conducted to deliberate on the details of a plan for responding to acts of terrorism.  Emergency response plans of the counties or municipalities would also be excepted from public information laws.

The bill would take effect immediately if it were to receive a vote of two-thirds in each house; otherwise, it would take effect September 1, 2003.
