No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill will add Section 551.094 to the Government Code by not requiring a governmental body that governs a port of this state to conduct an open meeting to deliberate specified matters relating to the security of a port if deliberation of security measures in an open meeting could jeopardize the security of the port.  The bill also amends Section 552.148 by exempting the release of security measures of port information otherwise required by Section 552 if the information relates to security measures of a port in this state and disclosure of the information could jeopardize the security of the port. The bill specifies types of protected information.

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
