FROM:
John Keel, Director, Legislative Budget Board
IN RE:
SB770 by Madla (Relating to the direct shipment of wine to consumers.), As Introduced
No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Alcoholic Beverage Code as it relates to the direct shipment of wine to consumers. Provisions of the bill would allow the Alcoholic Beverage Commission to charge a $100 fee for a direct wine shipper's permit. The bill would also require the payment of taxes and administrative fees on any wine imported into the state. The actual amount of revenue gain would depend on the number of permits awarded and the amount of wine imported, but the anticipated level of revenue gain is not anticipated to be significant.
Local Government Impact
No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
