SB802 by Janek (Relating to the use of alternate grand jurors.), As Introduced

No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated. The bill would amend the Code of Criminal Procedure, Article 19, to allow a court to use an alternate grand juror should a grand juror become unavailable during the term of the grand jury. The bill would take effect on September 1, 2003 and apply only to grand juries impaneled after that date.
