SB866 by Lindsay (Relating to an interim planning commission for the Medicaid and State Child Health Plan programs.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would create an interim Medicaid planning commission to evaluate the federal reforms to the Medicaid program. The bill would require the commission to study the overall effectiveness of the Medicaid and State Child Health Plan programs and evaluate the option of a federal Medicaid block grant.

 

The bill would require the office of the governor, the senate, and the house of representatives to cooperatively provide the funding and administrative support to the commission using existing resources otherwise available to those entities.

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
