No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Health and Safety Code relating to the joint appointment by municipalities of members of the board of managers of certain emergency communications districts. The bill would take effect immediately if it receives a two-thirds vote in each house; otherwise, it would take effect on September 1, 2003 and would apply only to appointments made on or after that date.
