No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated, based on analyses made by the Texas Education Agency.


Local Government Impact

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated. According to the Texas Education Agency, the bill would expand the immunity currently provided under state law for professional employees of school districts to include any immunity and other protections provided under the Paul D. Coverdell Teacher Protection Act of 2001 (20 USC Section 6731 et seq.).
