FISCAL NOTE, 78TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION

March 23, 2003

TO:
Honorable Kenneth Armbrister, Chair, Senate Committee on Natural Resources

FROM:
John Keel, Director, Legislative Budget Board

IN RE:
SB934 by Jackson (Relating to use of certain environmental laboratory data and analysis by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

Although some laboratories would be exempt from paying fees, it is anticipated that any revenues lost would be recovered by the Commission on Environmental Quality rasising fees for other laboratories, since the Commission is required to set fees in amounts necessary to cover costs of the program.

Local Government Impact

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
