The bill would amend the Transportation Code by adding a provision preventing the waiver of a driving test for applicants who complete the Parent-Taught Driver Education Course approved by the Department of Public Safety. Additionally, it would require applicants who complete a Parent-Taught Driver Education Course to pay a $10 fee for the driving exam. The fee would be deposited to the credit of a special account in the General Revenue Fund to be used by the Department of Public Safety.
