IN RE:
SB954 by Madla (Relating to the authority of a county to charge a fee for a plat application.), As Engrossed
No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Local Government Code to authorize a county commissioners court to impose an application fee to cover the cost of the county's review of a subdivision plat and inspection of street, road, and drainage improvements described by the plat. If the county fails to act within appropriate time frames, portions of the fee would be refundable. The bill would take effect September 1, 2003 and apply only to a plat filed on or after that date.
Local Government Impact
No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
