No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.


The bill would amend the Human Resources Code to give the Department of Human Services the authority to solicit and accept gifts, grants, and donations of money or property from public or private sources for use in assisting needy persons or otherwise carrying out any of the department's functions.
