No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend Government Code, Chapter 74 relating to the assignment of certain retired or former justices or judges as visiting judges.  The bill would set certain requirements for persons eligible to serve as visiting judges and would amend procedures relating to objections to the assignment of a visiting judge.  The bill would take effect September 1, 2003.

Local Government Impact

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
