LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD
Austin, Texas

FISCAL NOTE, 78TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION

April 25, 2003

TO:
Honorable Florence Shapiro, Chair, Senate Committee on Education

FROM:
John Keel, Director, Legislative Budget Board

IN RE:
SB1127 by Van de Putte (Relating to the creation of a coaching education program by the San Antonio Life Sciences Institute.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would establish a coaching education program at the San Antonio Life Sciences Institute, which is a joint effort between The University of Texas at San Antonio and The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio.  The University of Texas System Administration has assumed the program would be handled similar to a continuing education course.  It is also assumed that course fees would offset the cost of the program, which is estimated to be $64,000.

Local Government Impact

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
