No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

SB 1143 would amend the Government Code to permit a city or county to amend the boundaries of its defense economic readjustment zone to exclude an area from the zone, if the area does not contain a qualified business designated as a defense readjustment project.  The Texas Department of Economic Development may designate the same qualified business in a readjustment zone as more than one defense readjustment project.

Local Government Impact

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
