IN RE:
SB1148 by Shapleigh (Relating to the information provided to parents of newborn children relating to immunizations.), Committee Report 2nd House, Substituted

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would require a hospital, birthing center, or other specified medical personnel to provide an informational pamphlet to a newborn's parents, managing conservator, or guardian before the discharge of the newborn after birth.

The Department of Health (TDH) would be required to develop the pamphlet to provide information about childhood immunizations. TDH indicates no significant fiscal impact.

Local Government Impact
