No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill amends the Utilities Code to require private, for-profit publishers of residential telephone directories distributed to the public at minimal or no cost to include the Internet address for TexasOnline and a statement that Internet sites for state agencies may be accessed through TexasOnline. The Public Utility Commission indicates it could absorb minor rulemaking costs with the bill within its current resources.
