No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill amends section 402.003 of the Government code relating to duties of the attorney general and deletes certain case reporting requirements reported in even-numbered years to the governor.  The report no longer requires a statement of (a) the number of indictments found by grand juries in the state and the offenses charged, (b) the number of trials, convictions, and acquittals for each offense, (c) the number of dismissals, and (d) the summary of judgments rendered on conviction, the nature and amount of penalties imposed, and the amount of fines collected.  The Act takes effect September 1, 2003.

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
