SB1170 by Janek (Relating to the administration of the medical assistance program.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.


The bill would amend the Human Resources Code to provide the Health and Human Services Commission with authority to spend state funds for Medicaid if the program is changed by the federal government.  The bill would make any provision of Chapter 32 of the Human Resources Code that conflicts with this authority "inoperable to the extent of the conflict." 


Local Government Impact

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
