No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill directs the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department to increase the funds allocated for the commercial fishing license buyback program by $2.0 million, if funds are available;  to pursue federal funding and donations; and, to use any appropriated funds or funds otherwise available to increase funding for license buybacks.  No fiscal impact is anticipated, as the bill specifies that any increases for license buybacks would be from available funds.

Local Government Impact

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
