IN RE:
SB1392 by Janek (Relating to the regulation of distressed devices. ), Committee Report 1st House, Substituted

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend Chapter 432 of the Health and Safety Code relating to medical device licensing. The bill would remove the transfer of an unreconditioned salvaged medical device from a licensee to a hospital or from a hospital to another hospital from applicability under Chapter 432.  The bill would establish a disclosure statement to be used when an unreconditioned medical device is transferred to a hospital.

The bill would take effect on September 1, 2003.
