IN RE:	SB1411 by Deuell (Relating to electronic surveillance.), Committee Report 1st House, Substituted

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Penal Code and Code of Criminal Procedure as they relate to electronic surveillance.  According to the Texas Department of Public Safety the changes from the bill make no substantial changes in law and are for the purpose of bringing state statutes in line with changes that have occurred in federal law.  It is assumed that the bill would not have a significant fiscal impact on the State.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
