No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Government Code by adding Section 662.050.  The new section will state that the first Thursday in May of each year is Texas Prayer Day.  It will coincide with the National Day of Prayer, a day on which the people of Texas may turn to God in prayer and meditation at places of worship, in groups, and as individuals.

 

This bill would take effect September 1, 2003.

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
