No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill amends sections of the Government Code relating to software acquisitions by state agencies.  No significant fiscal implication was reported by the Texas Department of Criminal Justice; all other agencies responded that passage of the bill would not have fiscal implication. 

The bill takes effect January 1, 2004 and applies only to a contract for the acquisition of software by a state agency that is entered into on or after January 1, 2004.


Local Government Impact

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
