No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Code of Criminal Procedure as it relates to policies by law enforcement agencies regarding the arrest of persons for certain offenses.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated. Local governmental entities would see minimal savings in costs due to fewer arrests for Class C misdemeanors.
