No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Transportation Code and the Code of Criminal Procedure as it relates to the issuance of citations to and the arrest of persons for certain misdemeanor offenses punishable by fine only.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated. Local governmental entities would see minimal savings in costs due to fewer arrests for Class C misdemeanors.
