IN RE:	SB1632 by Wentworth (Relating to the borrowing of money and encumbrance of property by a joint county and municipal hospital.), As Introduced

No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would authorize the board of managers of a joint county and municipal hospital to borrow money in the name of the hospital to pay costs relating to acquiring, constructing, rehabilitating, and equiping hospital facilities, including acquisition of real property and other improvements deemed necessary. The bill would take effect immediately if it receives a two-thirds vote in each house; otherwise, it would take effect September 1, 2003.

The provisions of the bill would provide an additional funding mechanism for an applicable hospital board.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
