IN RE:
SB1633 by Wentworth (Relating to the installation and use of a water softener or reverse osmosis system by an owner of an on-site sewage disposal system.), Committee Report 1st House, Substituted
No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would require the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) to design and make a label identifying systems with demand-inititated regeneration control devices. The bill would provide for the charge of a nominal fee for the labels. The cost of the labels and the revnenue that would be collected to recover those costs are not expected to be significant.
Local Government Impact
No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
