No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Govenrment Code as it relates to Texas memorial medal of valor awards for peace officers, firefighters, and emergency medical first responders who are killed or sustain fatal injuries in the line of duty. Additionally, the bill would create three advisory committees to advise the Governor. Members of the committees would receive no compensation.
