LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD
Austin, Texas

FISCAL NOTE, 78TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION

May 1, 2003

TO:
Honorable Kenneth Armbrister, Chair, Senate Committee on Natural Resources

FROM:
John Keel, Director, Legislative Budget Board

IN RE:
SB1934 by Hinojosa (Relating to the territory and the governing body of the Port of Corpus Christi Authority of Nueces County, Texas.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would require, not later than April 30 of each year, that a port commissioner for the Port of Corpus Christi Authority file a financial statement with the Texas Ethics Commission.

The bill would take effect immediately if it receives a two-thirds vote in each house; otherwise, it would take effect September 1, 2003.

Local Government Impact

Because the bill would not have statewide impact on units of local government of the same type or class, no comment from this office is required by the rules of the Senate as to its probable fiscal implication on units of local government.
