No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.


The bill proposes a constitutional amendment allowing the Governor to issue an order prohibiting the Texas Department of Criminal Justice from performing executions until the order is revoked either by the Governor issuing the order or by a successor to the Governor issuing the order.  The Texas Department of Criminal Justice and the Office of the Governor have determined that the cost of implementing the bill would not be significant.   The cost to the state for publication of the resolution is $85,250.

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
