SB762 by Lindsay (Relating to the application of the open meetings law and the public information law to meetings and information regarding certain security plans of a municipal hospital, a hospital district, or a health department.), As Introduced

As a result of this bill there will be a restriction upon:

(1) the open records law;
(2) the open meetings law; and
(3) the access to government information.



Under the bill a governing board of a municipal hospital or a hospital district would not be required to conduct an open meeting to deliberate the details of a security plan for the protection of the hospital facilities from an act of terrorism. Information that relates to the security plan would be excepted from the requirements of Section 552.021 of the Government Code.
