         Committee on Appropriations, Subcommittee on Education,  met in  
         a public hearing to discuss Interim Charge #2, Budget Oversight,  
         and was called to order by the chair, Representative Pitts, at  
         8:09 a.m. 
          
         Present:  Representatives Pitts; Branch; Brown, Fred; Menendez  
                   (4). 
          
         Absent:   Representatives Deshotel; Gutierrez (2). 
          
         A quorum was present.

         At 9:37 a.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection,
