         Pursuant to a notice posted on February 21, 2003, the House  
         Committee on Appropriations-S/C on Regulatory met in a formal  
         meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative  
         Hope, at 10:04 a.m. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows: 
          
         Present:  Representatives Hope; Brown, Betty; Raymond; Solis  
                   (4). 
          
         Absent:   Representative Jones, Elizabeth (1). 
          
         A quorum was present. 
          
         The subcommittee met to discuss issues relating to  
         appropriations for 2004-2005. 
          
         (Representative Jones, Elizabeth now present.) 
          
         At 11:20 a.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was recessed for one hour. 
          
         The committee reconvened at 11:20 a.m. and was called to order  
         by the chair, Representative Hope. The roll was answered as  
         follows: 
          
         Present:  Representatives Hope; Raymond; Solis (3). 
          
         Absent:   Representatives Brown, Betty; Jones, Elizabeth (2). 
          
         A quorum was present. 
          
         The subcommittee continued to discuss issues relating to  
         appropriations for 2004-2005. 
          
         (Representative Jones, Elizabeth now present.)(Representative  
         Brown, Betty now present.) 
          
         At 1:45 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was recessed until the adjournment of the House,  
         February 24, 2003. 
          
         The committee reconvened at 3:20 p.m. and was called to order by  
         the chair, Representative Hope. The roll was answered as  
         follows: 
         Present:  Representatives Hope; Brown, Betty; Jones, Elizabeth  
                   (3). 
          
         Absent:   Representatives Raymond; Solis (2). 
  
         A quorum was present. 
          
         The subcommittee continued to discuss issues relating to  
         appropriations for 2004-2005. 
          
         (Representative Solis now present.)(Representative Raymond now  
         present.) 
          
         At 3:45 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was adjourned.
