         Pursuant to a notice posted on February 21, 2003, the House  
         Committee on Appropriations-S/C on Criminal Justice met in a  
         formal meeting and was called to order by the chair,  
         Representative Turner, at 12:28 p.m. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows: 
          
         Present:  Representatives Turner; Berman; Ellis; Kolkhorst;  
                   Stick (5). 
          
         Absent:   None (0). 
          
         A quorum was present. 
          
         The subcommittee met to discuss issues relating to  
         appropriations for 2004-2005. 
          
         At 1:40 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was recessed until the final adjournment/recess of  
         the House, February 24, 2003. 
          
         The committee reconvened at 3:25 p.m. and was called to order by  
         the chair, Representative Turner. The roll was answered as  
         follows: 
          
         Present:  Representatives Turner; Berman; Kolkhorst (3). 
          
         Absent:   Representatives Ellis; Stick (2). 
          
         A quorum was present. 
          
         The subcommittee continued to discuss issues relating to  
         appropriations for 2004-2005. 
          
         (Representative Ellis now present.)(Representative Stick now  
         present.) 
          
         At 7:00 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was adjourned until the final adjournment/recess of  
         the Appropriations Committee public hearing, February 25, 2003.
