         Pursuant to a notice posted on August 2, 2004, the House  
         Committee on Appropriations-S/C on Criminal Justice met in a  
         public hearing to discuss Interim Charge #2, Budget Oversight,  
         and was called to order by the chair, Representative Turner, at  
         10:13 a.m. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows: 
          
         Present:  Representatives Turner; Berman; Stick (3). 
          
         Absent:   Representatives Ellis, Dan; Kolkhorst (2). 
          
         A quorum was present.

         At 1:20 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was recessed until 2:15 p.m., August 10, 2004. 
          
         The committee reconvened at 2:32 p.m. and was called to order by  
         the chair, Representative Turner. The roll was answered as
