         Pursuant to a notice posted on February 7, 2003, revised  
         February 10, 2003 and February 12, 2003, the House Committee on  
         Appropriations-S/C on General Government met in a public hearing  
         and was called to order by the chair, Representative Pickett, at  
         8:15 a.m. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows: 
          
         Present:  Representatives Pickett; Hamric; McClendon (3). 
          
         Absent:   Representatives Crownover; Isett (2). 
          
         A quorum was present. 
          
         Testimony was taken.  (See attached witness list.)

         At 9:59 a.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was recessed until the Adjournment of the House. 
          
         The committee reconvened at 11:33 a.m. and was called to order  
         by the chair, Representative Pickett. The roll was answered as  
         follows:

         Absent:   Representatives Hamric; Isett (2). 
          
         A quorum was present.
