         Pursuant to a notice posted on March 18, 2003, the House  
         Committee on Appropriations-S/C on Article IX met in a formal  
         meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative  
         Hope, at 5:45 p.m. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows: 
          
         Present:  Representatives Hope; Brown, Betty; Hamric; Jones,  
                   Elizabeth; Raymond; Solis (6). 
          
         Absent:   Representative Turner (1). 
          
         A quorum was present. 
          
         The subcommittee met to discuss issues relating to Article IX  
         Provisions for 2004-2005.   
          
         At 7:45 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was adjourned.
