         Pursuant to a notice posted on April 11, 2003, the House  
         Committee on Appropriations-S/C on Article IX met in a formal  
         meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative  
         Hope, at 3:10 p.m. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows: 
          
         Present:  Representatives Hope; Brown, Betty; Jones, Elizabeth;  
                   Turner (4). 
          
         Absent:   Representatives Hamric; Raymond; Solis (3). 
          
         A quorum was present. 
          
         The subcommittee met to review pre-filed amendments for CSHB 1. 
          
         (Representative Solis now present.)(Representative Hamric now  
         present.) 
          
         At 5:37 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was adjourned.
