The House Committee on Redistricting Subcommittee on Congressional Redistricting One 78th Legislature June 28, 2003 9:00 a.m. Texas Southern University 3100 Cleburne Street Houston, Texas Roderick Paige College of Education Auditorium Pursuant to a notice posted on June 20, 2003, the House Committee on Redistricting, Subcommittee on Congressional Redistricting One, met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative Morrison, at 9:48 a.m. Present: Representatives Morrison; King; Talton; Wilson (4). Absent: Representative Luna (1). A quorum was present. Representative King moved that the subcommittee adopt the following rule: Testimony shall be limited to 5 minutes in duration, and the chairman of the subcommittee shall notify the speaker at the expiration of time. The chairman may place additional time limits on testimony and discussion during the hearing, and that such limitations may be altered by a vote of two-thirds of the subcommittee members present.
