Absent: Representatives Smith, Wayne; Farabee; Farrar (3). A quorum was present. SB 1885 The chair laid out SB 1885. (Representative Smith, Wayne now present.) (Representative Farabee now present.) The chair recognized Representative Howard to explain the measure. The chair recognized Representative Howard to close on the measure. Representative Olivo moved that SB 1885, without amendments, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed and be sent to the Committee on Local and Consent Calendars. The motion prevailed by the following record vote: Ayes: Representatives Lewis; Smith, Wayne; Casteel; Chisum; Farabee; Flynn; Olivo; Quintanilla (8). Nays: None (0). Present, Not Voting: None (0). Representative Casteel moved that committee #1 be adopted to the measure. The amendment was adopted without objection. Testimony was taken. (See attached witness list.) The chair recognized Representative Chisum to close on the measure. Representative Casteel moved that SB 1303, as amended, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed.
